It can be overwhelming to delve into digital marketing when there are so many options for paid ads, SEO, and social advertising. When asked where to start, the place we point clients to is their Google Business profile. A Google Business profile is an incredibly valuable piece of real estate on Google's search engine results page, and using it increases the likelihood Google will serve your name and website when someone is searching for a realtor in your area.

When a business is searched by name on Google, the results page shows the business's Google Business profile on the right hand side of the screen. This is free advertising for the business, and the owner of the company controls what is shown there.

Here are a short list of steps and tips to optimize your Google Business profile:

  • Claim your own business listing at google.com/business
  • Add your website
  • Upload 3-5 photos of the best photos from homes you've sold
  • Link your Facebook and Instagram profiles
  • Complete every optional field (Healthy & Safety, Hours, etc.)
  • Grow your Google Reviews consistently over time

Below is a short email that we use when helping our client grow their reviews on Google.  This should be an easy cut and paste that you can send to your sphere and grow those reviews.

I hope you’re doing well!  I’m currently reaching out to my clients and asking them to leave a Google review for my past services.  If you wouldn’t mind taking a few minutes to click this (<-- update the link to your review link) review form and rate your experience I would appreciate it.
